NotifyMail System Requirements
Proper use of NotifyMail requires that you meet the Server Requirements listed below and either the Macintosh Requirements or Windows Requirements. Please contact us if you have any questions.
Note: NotifyMail requires a dedicated connection to the internet or an intranet (Dialup, i.e. modem, connections are not supported).
In order to function properly, your mail server must support NotifyMail. Before installing NotifyMail, please check the following list to verify that your server is listed. If you have a question about what kind of server you are using, please contact the postmaster of your domain.
- Eudora Internet Mail Server running on a Macintosh
- AppleShare IP 6.0 running on a Macintosh
- Sonic Systems's SonicMail 1.5 or later running on a Macintosh
- Stalker Software's Stalker Internet Mail Server or CommuniGate server running on a Macintosh (Stalker Software has promised CommuniGate support soon; please contact them for availability)
- CE Software's QuickMail Pro Server for the Macintosh
- UNIX machines running Software.Com's Post.Office (2.0 or higher)
- UNIX machines running Netscape's Messaging Server (contact notifymail-support@imagina.com for assistance)
- UNIX machines running sendmail or qmail
- Software.Com's Post.Office 3.0 or later running on Windows NT
- Seattle Lab's SLMail running on Windows 95/NT
- Internet Shopper's NTMail
Note: NotifyMail will NOT work with major Internet service providers such as AT&T Worldnet, Pacific Bell Internet Services, Compuserve, America Online, Netcom, Mindspring, etc. If you are unsure if NotifyMail will work for you, please contact the postmaster for your domain.
Note: NotifyMail may work with other mail servers. If you are a system administrator and are using a server that is not listed, please contact our technical support department.
